What I’ve Learned is that no matter how Good you are, or think you are. No matter how sincere you are, or think you are. Even, No matter how Bad you are, or you think you are. You will NEVER please everyone.

There are people that you may hold in high esteem, but others may see them in a totally different light.

The reality is that this is true for me and you, whether you like it or not.

There are people who ADORE you, yet there are still people who DESPISE you!

This is quite okay….

Stop trying to make everyone fit in your world, and stop trying to fit into everyone elses!

Many think that life, business, and even ministry are popularity contests…and its NOT!

Because there is a tendency to try to please everyone, we sometimes fall into the category of being inauthentic and a “yes” man or woman with no real opinions or convictions of our own.

Yes, we have a responsibility to serve, honor, respect, and show hospitality, but not to the level that it degrades, devalues, and develops you into a people pleasing machine.

If you have found yourself in this realm, realize that this leaves you hopeless and helpless.

Trust me…I’ve been there! I was more frustrated and stressed out trying to get people to like me, when it dawned on me, that “they” don’t have a heaven t bless you with!

Realize this, sometimes as a leader, you must make decisions, that others don’t understand or like and will bash you for it as a consequence.

Because of this, Its best that we focus on pleasing ONE.

If our focus is solely on God, and our validation comes from him, no matter who does or doesn’t like you, it doesn’t matter because you’re pleasing HIM and HIM only.

You may be in a place right now where the politics of where you work, live, or do business may be trying to mold you into one of it’s puppets of performance.

I’m going to challenge you not to conform.

Conformity is the opposite of courage, not cowardice.

When you conform to your surroundings rather to the image of Christ, you short change yourself and others who are waiting for you to BE who God has called you to BE!

So, take it from me. God has your best interest at heart.

Follow Him. Trust Him. Please HIM!
